You mean when the bottom is just slightly charred? :)

Exactly! Or at least dark. Most people like 'em just past raw, seems like.

One of the other first things we helped make was Shrinky Dinks--did you ever do those?

Yep, certainly did! Both the kind that came with an image pre-stamped that you'd just color and the blank sort. Those are making a return, actually, I suppose because people my age have kids old enough to do them now. My little sister got a pack awhile ago...they haven't changed much.

Heh...I remember doing Smurf ones. Guess that's a bit dating.

Smurfy! :)

I didn't know Shrinky Dinks were making a comeback, but I did notice they were still selling them, which surprised me. Don't know why those were so fun, but they were! I had forgotten about them until recently when I came across some old comic-book ads for them. They used to make superhero ones as well as Star Wars ones besides the Smurf ones.

BTW we once had an art teacher with a good sense of humor who was really short, and was always going around threatening (jokingly) to whack us with his art ruler, and one time when he threatened my friend my friend called him "Papa Smurf", so we called him that for the rest of the year :)

I swear, I couldn't get my printer to work for the longest time! The paper wouldn't feed! So I hauled it down and took a look-see. Something appeared jammed down in it! I got my nail file and popped out what appears to be a piece of petrified fried CHICKEN jammed down in my printer!!

Now my printer sits up on top of my desk...way up...top shelf of my desk. How a piece of fried chicken got jammed down in my printer is beyond me.
