Well, in just the few days that I couldn't vacuum or mop or even do laundry (because of the weather), my house looked like an ever-lovin' disaster. I started getting it back into shape and I swear at one point it looked like my house had imploded! LOL

It's getting there, though...but this is a mountain of clothes to fold!

I think a little Tension Tamer would go well with folding, don't you?

Oh, and you know that brown and cream stiped chair that is in so many pictures? I got rid of it. It had a wire sticking out the back and Joshua SLICED open his back on it. (I didn't even know it was sticking out, it only sticks out when someone is sitting in the chair. Took a while to figure that one out, I tell ya!)

My mom gave me a new chair (one she didn't want any more.)

OH! And I bet you're right about the weather and my back! It hardly ever bothers me, but the last few days have been agony.

Hey all! Just got an email from the guy who replaced Tom. It's short and sweet.

This is a good time to mention that our HHD knife count is now 129, thanks to the generous gift from Ramius. Thanks also to g'nad, who contributed to the emergency radio project, despite his reservations.

Once WN wades through the data I dumped on her, she can give everyone a breakdown on who's gotten our HHD knives so far.

Yes I do!

I made a whole pot of Wild Berry Zinger last night but only drank half of it. So I put it in the fridge and have a nuked cup sitting here now. I may have some Tension Tamer also when this pot is empty. I'm glad you ended up liking that so much. My neighbor in Mosheim used to just tease me to no end for drinkin' that stuff... but, it's great!

I used to have a recliner that did that! And I was like you, I didn't notice that wire forever! For some reason it was in a spot where it didn't "get" me but when either of the girls would sit in that chair it would poke them. Took me a while to figure that one out too. I hated to see that recliner go cause it was so comfortable for me but one day it poked a hole in Myranda's back. She was about 5 or 6 then. I hauled that thing to the dump that week!

You know, you're going to think I'm a fanatic about this, but one thing I've found out after breaking my neck was that when I don't drink enough water it causes those muscles to spasm also. I don't think that's a cold weather related part - but it *is* harder for me to remember to drink water when it's cold.

Anyway, when I get a crick or a spasm I always make it a point to drink more water. Truthfully, after all these years I don't know that makes so much difference. But, in the first 2 or 3 years I could definitely see a correlation. Well, and I was still drinking whiskey on a pretty regular basis then. I would notice when I'd get dehydrated from that I would ALWAYS have muscle spasms in that injury related area.

This wire was sticking out the back! Steve was sitting in the chair and Joshua crawled behind the chair and it just GOUGED a cut in his back! Steve leaped up to see what had happened and I came running, but neither of us could tell what had scratched him! Then, just the other day, Steve was sitting in the chair and Matthew spied the wire sticking out the back. When Steve got up, it disappeared back inside the chair.

Will do on the data WM. I left the spreadsheet on my desk at work so it won't be tonight... but there was more room to spread it out and put it all together there.

Did you ever hear anything else about the shipment of knives that you sent to Steve? I have been wondering if the large quantity got it caught somewhere. You know, I started out carefully concealing the knives and not declaring them on the customs forms. Then I found out I could ship them legally but I still only sent 2 or 3 per box so they were in small quantities. I wonder if that makes a difference?

Oh...you are probably correct again! It has been a terribly busy week...and I haven't even had time to eat my harvest blend bagel in the morning a couple of times...much less drink my required water.

I'll start on that tomorrow morning. Not tonight, I'll be up all night! LOL

Ours was in the front but buried in the cushion. When I would sit it was in the area of the small of my back so it didn't stick me. But the girls landed on it. Jill and I would feel around but not ever find anything... until the day Myranda got the little puncture. That day I pressed down hard on the back of the chair and found the thing. There was no fixing it that I could figure so that chair went bye-bye!

Way cool. It's good to hear from the guys standing a post on the wall, as it were.

I took the pliers to that dang wire...twisted it back upon it's self and bent it back into the chair back. But the chair is wore out. I mean, my folks got this old furniture back in the 70s. It was threadbare and just give out.

This new chair is nifty...like a cushiony wingback chair with wooden claw feet...then you sit in it and it reclines.

The couch has got to go next...we REALLY need a new couch. But the Lord provides in His good time. We'll either be given one or we'll buy a new one after Steve graduates and gets a better job. Either way, the Lord provides.

I like hearing from Perk. He is a lot more chatty than Tom. We actually have conversations! :-)

His name is Perk? That's interesting, though Lord, I hope his mother didn't name his brother Drip.

I have a chair kinda like that...someone gave it to me. Heh...guess chronologically it matches my linoleum! That's the one Fiona peed on. *sigh* I'm wondering if that's a sign it's time to let it go and move on. ;-) I have enough chairs without that one, and if I got rid of it, I'd actually have a free corner in my living room...more room for musicians!
