Well, we have our network back. That means I have to work now. *pout*
But I did go on a great field trip yesterday instead of twiddling our thumbs- went scrambling all over some armor specimens. ;)

Morning! Are you more cheerful today?
Got up and my legs weren't sore. I think maybe I'm growing some muscles so I can run. Makes me feel happy.

I'm still not sure I'm ready for next week. Seems like a big jump in the amount of running...
I guess I can always try it and see what happens.

I'm not sure either... maybe we do Monday with week three, then try Wednesday to increase?

That doesn't sound like a bad idea. And also we can see how we feel on Friday or Saturday...depending on when I get mine in!
Part of it is just mental, I know. I'm watching the clock too much...and five minutes is a long time to count seconds! ;-) I've gotten better about that, mostly because I can KIND of think of other things while running now...other than "I'm gonna die!" that is.

Mine is a little easier, because it has a display that shows various info... does two cycles a minute, so I just think, "three more cycles... two more cycles...".
Watching a clock would drive me mad!

Tell me about it! ;-) But I'm trying not to look at it so much. I listen to music while I'm running, so I say to myself "don't look at the clock until this next chorus is over...until this song is over..." It helps somewhat!

That would be interesting...
Heh...when Bilbo and I went to NYC, we spent the first evening watching a show on Discovery or some such about murders and disappearances that went unsolved for long periods. It was NOT the best idea for a first night "alone" in the big city. We spent a lot of time in the dark afterwards asking each other "Are you asleep yet?"
Creepy stuff.

Heh... that's the only kind of show I watch these days. I try to figure out the answer before they do... it's not usually hard, they almost never have more than one suspect.
Agatha Christie it's not, but it's interesting when you're running.

Too bad it really doesn't work to read while running.
I'm thinking of borrowing some books-on-tape from the library to use for that. I'd have to crank 'em up pretty far since the treadmill is noisy, but it might help!

Our library has really lousy books on tape, or I'd do the same. Yeah, can't quite manage to turn pages and keep my balance...

The section here at the college has unabridged classics, among other things. Looks pretty decent. I've never checked any out before since I'd RATHER just read...but if it gets me through running, it'd be very worth it.

That's a good idea, then! Or at least if you get them, maybe you'll do walks on the off-days, or something.

I'm on, but just briefly to check my email and to check in here. We've had storms in the area to the point where I have to keep my computer off! Lots of flooding in some areas.
I got my taxes done, which means we will be temporarily out of debt again, until we have to pay for Steve's next tuition.
A child in our church is very ill, the child of one of our homeschool families. Leukemia. They found out at 3am yesterday morning. He's in the fifth grade and one of his younger siblings is a very good friend of Matthew's. Matthew is very concerned for his friend because he is so upset.
So we're dealing with that and trying to figure out what we can do to practically help.
G'nad, I read Day 18 to Steve last night...very applicable to this current situation.
