WOO HOO! Lord of the Rings! Best Picture I was with you folks in spirit last night! It was great -- Billy Crystal crushing Michael Moore with an Oliphant, all the Kiwis got thanked, PJ wore a tie and ROTK tied for most awards with Ben Hur and Titanic, and was the only one of them with no losses. On top of that no left wing claptrap to speak of, the actresses looked like MOVIE STARS, and the best new movie in the theatres is a respectful treatment of Our Lord's passion!
How sweet it is!!

I have no idea who Geonosians are, but a request for heavy weapons from a small boy izzuh beautiful thing... and must be honored... get him a New England Firearms single-shot .12 guage shotgun... he'll love you for it... and the whole target will fall down...

The 50 EMT shears just came in. I'm going to use an electric engraver and put a small "HH" on a blank area of the handles. I figure any of our "tools" should have some sort of marking on them, even if the troops never notice. The radios have the "HH" mark on them, too.
While NEW knives to troops will get the snips, too, I have enough extra here for anyone who wants to include them in their care packages. Just freepmail me with the number you want, and I'll send them. Consider it my contribution to your care package.

LOL!! I gotta tell you...when I chose the name 2Jedismom, I chose well! My boys LOVE Star Wars...and Matthew can tell you every kind of weapon every different alien civilization uses! He builds armies, uses all different types of weapons, even feeds and supplies his forces in his Star Wars Gallactic Battlegrounds computer game. Uses heavy-assault weapons and even build monuments!
He's just wild about that kinda stuff.

THAT was a sweet aircraft.
(What about a combined cycle engine? Works like a ducted rocket for portions of it's operation, a ramjet for others.)

Hi LCS, nice to see you about. Totally agree with your summing up, it has been a good week, Hollywood-wise.

Well, I have two guys I'm sending to...one is in Georgia, just here in the States, but away from his family...he's my friend from church (that I was sending items to in Iraq at the same time I was sending all the Hobbit Hole stuff to Afghanistan). Anyway, I was planning on sending him some cookies this week and also sending Andrew's brother "Maj. Wes" another package too...
Really, they are the only two I'm sending care packages to right now...

It would be great if you two managed to squeeze it into your schedule!

Oh, dear... do you want to share? Or anything?Just...ongoing financial difficulties, one thing on top of another with no real way to fix anything. And depression...like when you don't feel like doing anything - anything at all. Wish I could just curl up in a ball and sleep for a few years.

No, he doesn't...I sent one to Maj. Wes, but this is 1LT Gene...his wife is the preschool director at our church and mentioned to me a long time ago (when he was in Iraq) that he liked Celtic music. That got me started sending him music, pennywhistles, and such...once a month is my routine and I stuck with it till he came home. I did this separately but at the same time as the Afghanistan stuff.
One of the most moving things that I ever had happen to me was when he came up to me after returning home...saw me in church and although I knew his wife well, I didn't know him well...he came up and just hugged my neck...shook Steve's hand. We still have the letter he sent us from Iraq in Steve's Bible.
He's a great guy and I'd love to send a Hobbit Hole Care Package to him!

Oh, I know that feeling. And the two together don't help, do they?
Well, I can't offer you more than prayer and a sympathetic ear if you need to vent. I hope you can work out of the depression, at least, that's no fun at all.

That new processor I was babbling about waitig to get?
Finally got it a week or so ago.
(I babble way too much..)
Other 'news', did a drawing -maliciously- on self destructing media.
A 3x5 card.
It isn't acid free, so it will eventually dissolve the graphite pencil markings on it, and crumble..
