Hear Hear...great Post... I love Free Republic and all Freepers... When there is a lack of honor in government, the morals of the whole people are poisoned. There is no such thing as a no-man's land between honesty and dishonesty. Our strength lies in spiritual concepts. It lies in public sensitiveness to evil. Our greatest danger is not from invasion by foreign armies. Our dangers are that we may commit suicide from within by complaisance with evil, or by public tolerance of scandalous behavior. --Herbert Hoover NO KERRY 04

Anyone that prefers a democrat in office is NOT a conservative.

Neither is anyone who creates a brand-new, massive, federal entitlement program a conservative.

Republican party officials and members read this, and it's not just low level county folks like me. State reps I know have read this site. Candidate Staffers. Even Rush at times.

The posters here are the most active. They and those that think like them are the base. They are often the ones that stuff the envelopes, donate, put the signs up, door knock, phone bank, etc.

If Bush is doing a stupid thing, I'm going to call him out on it here. If he does something real good, I'll also post that here. It blows off steam, but if you get a 1000 level post on it, the word will get out to the officials. Maybe it dies in committee, or gets killed in Congress under the table. Maybe Bush will remember who he'll need to win.

I'd also like to add that the whiners look forward to removing any signs of Christmas from public display or at least enabling it. They're also in favor of the loss of American soverignty and wish that the UN would come along and take us over.

And why?! Because the President of the United States is not their personal Burger King and they can't have everything their way.

Either Kerry or Bush will appoint the Judges that will be with us for the next generation. Would Kerry appoint the ones closest to the beliefs of most of us? I don't think so. This dump Bush stuff is like a person who can't have the whole loaf of bread deciding they'll just starve.

AMEN!!!

Besides our national security, this should be the overwhelming consideration on whether you want a Democrat or a Republican President...because those are the ONLY two realistic choices.

When the bill for all this spending comes due, many of us may in fact be doing just that.

Those who think a demonrat President and Republican Congress is acceptable because of stalemate obviously have forgotten the lesson of 8 years of klinton and his "cool - stroke of the pen, law of the land" executive orders. A demonrat President is too dangerous, period.

If I lived in a state like Massachusetts instead of Michigan, I'd be voting libertarian.

The "conservatives" attacking Bush serve a purpose.

Unfortunately, that purpose is the purpose of one Mr. George Soros.

Bush is trying to win an election. Amendments can be added to his illegal workers visa bill. It beats the dems give them amnesty stance.

Anyone who believes that a perfect political system can be attained at this time, must be reading Utopian Fantasy.

Bush is trying to walk a fine line until the election campaign begins. Lets realize he can do better for us than any of the democrats currently running, weaking Bush would be opening the door for the Kerry's Dean's and Communist party line.

And do you believe that Kerry will spend less? Do you believe he'll be more restrained? Will he not seek a health care plan that will make Hillary blush? Or will it not matter then?

Bush has abandoned the people of the USA on health care.
Bush chose to give tax refunds to the rich and created more deficits. The prescription drug bill was a joke, and it was more of a help to the pharmaceuticals than for the people. We need to let Bush know that we are not the fools that he thinks that we are. And while Bush is giving tax breaks to the rich, our country is being bled of jobs which are going overseas.
If we can not afford health care, we for sure can not afford higher payments for the performance of the arts in this country. Bush needs to take a look at the poor and average Americans, and he needs to stop acting like some spoiled little rich kid.
No votes for Bush until he straightens up!
