Well, old JoJo has calmed down a little bit, and read yesterdays thread. I see a big misunderstanding, and it's quite understandable.

I'm not gonna say I'm the "genius" behind the invisible links, but a while back when all this was gelling, I'd asked someone who understood HTML to tell me how to make the link in a white font. For one thing, it'd be unobtrusive, and people who wasn't interested in our little prank could say "Jeez, JoJo, why throw Moore into an astronomy thread, of all things"? And there are a few Leftist sites unknowingly contributing to our little crusade.

I'd figured there was an eventual chance someone might accidentally hit the link, and whoever wouldn't understand why their computer all of a sudden went to a site of those we hold in low esteem. I too get confused when the computer seems to act up and I don't know what happened. ("What the heck is this?!?" "Have I been hacked?" whatever ) I've done things and railed before and felt sheepish and humbled after the fact, and though I don't want to be presumptuous and put words in another's mouth, I think that's what happened here. We all have our bad days.

I want all to realize that with our hidden links we don't in any fashion automatically give those sites "hits". They can't crow about their web popularity and shout "lookit our site counter!" The links are there ONLY for Google to find and add to the rankings.

Now, as far as Jim and the Freep "approving", I can't say. It's no secret that people like us don't hold much regard for something the likes of Michael Moore, and I thought that since the links wouldn't show up and be a visual distraction, and since they used up mere bytes, that I would do it this way.
