I wasn't viewing his post in a particularly negative light. I saw it as maybe a joke that got out of hand or maybe even a real problem that he was not taking as seriously as the respondents.

I don't think it was a joke.

I don't think he realized how many genuinely treated it as seriously as we have. He may have treated it more as an idle chat in front of WalMart's.

I do believe he'll be back . . . unless he's suffering terminal embarrassment for being so silent in the face of such caring.
