Yeah, I'm really excited!
Now I'm wondering if I can generate power from the difference between the hot and cold wells.
I read something about that years ago but can't find the info again. Maybe just science fiction...

Pinging to some who were on the thread, pardon me if I ping you by mistake.
LittleJoe, perhaps one of the others on the thread can come up with some good ideas on how to generate your power!

I'm counting on it. I firmly believe that the greatest minds on the planet are right here on FR!

Welllllllllllllll!
Welcome back!
Some of us were a bit concerned. Am glad my better guesses were more true to the situation.
Uhhhhhhhhhhhh, next time, . . . please give us a clue if only a one liner!
Some of us care!
How much did you ask the geologist about quake and volcano potential?

No, true. I'm no expert . . .
But you can construct--if you can weld--your own steam wheel sort of affair.
I forget what sorts of liquids work.
But say the lower 1/3 or so of the wheel is in a tank of the hotter water. The heat converts the liquid within the wheel converts to a gas. When configured correctly, the conversion to a gas turns the wheel. The cooler water condenses the gas back to a liquid.
A chemist or physicist would be better to tell you what liquid/gas composition would work at your temps.
I think it's all fairly low tech and should work quite well to even generate at least supplemental electricity.
Please keep us posted!

You may have the potential for generating some electricity. Check it out. Be thoughtful of corrosion and clogging of the pipes...also, will the discharge be legal?

I was lurking on another thread and saw that Little Joe posted on it so I did a FReeper search and saw he replied. I also saw that someone had already pinged you...

Anyway, this has been a huge stroke of good luck for me! I said in #19 you'd probably hit a Bonanza with the new hot spring. Now you have to tell me if the SUV geologist was named Adam, Ben or Hoss.
