Worst thing to be in college when I went was the conservative fuddy duddy girl who didn't want to have sex. Needless to say I stayed single too :-)

Hmmm, well from the signs, we can take "sweetliberty" off the list. (g)
But seriously, we were discussing not the average FReeper woman, but the average woman out there on the street. VERY different animals. . .
I live in the DC region, and I used the GOP birth control method: once women knew I was Republican, I couldn't get a date, much less anything more. I had one woman break it off with me with the excuse "But I had no idea you were such a REPUBLICAN". . .heck, half the personals in "Washingtonian" read "No Republicans".

I am so grateful that I have a good wife and don't have to play this dating game these days. We've been married for almost 20 years now and if something ever happened I would just stay single. The women now days are not like they used to be and just are not worth the aggravation.

Actually, there WAS a reason I didn't marry until 37.
From 21 to 28, I was running all over the planet in the USAF. From 29 to 36, I was living near DC (still do), where Being Republican and Conservative is considered a major turnoff for most local women.
Luckily, I met my wife within months of her moving here: she hadn't gotten "infected" with the DC attitude

"half the personals in "Washingtonian" read "No Republicans". That's sad.
I was visiting some friends in Colorado and the woman is a liberal. Her husband and I were talking just normally, like we do here and just out of the blue she says to me, "you are such a conservative," like that's a bad thing. I took it as a compliment.
Good save, by the way. ;-)

Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma report that singles are signing up for housewarming and birthday registries, deciding they do not have to wait for a wedding to request the pastamaker and flatware. Smaller stores report single women registering for china patterns and crystal, without ring, proposal or mate. Its really hard to believe that perfect folks like that cant find a mate

The wife of the lead singer of the band Mofro (mofro.net) is from Trinidad and Tobago. My subcontractor/surrogate grandfather's grandson's girlfriend is from Trinidad and Tobago (and there is a hilarious story behind that).
To: IndependentSouthernDemocrat
LOL you can FReepmail me that story if you want. My mom worked for my father in her first real job in American. He sexually harassed her till he got her to go out with him. That wouldn't go over well with NOW on so many levels LOL

I told her that hers was a gender in decline (a broad brush, I know).Nothing that the collapse of civilization can't fix. When there's no welfare or aliminony, and the wolves don't care about sexual harrassment lawsuits, they'll start acting respectful and even maybe submissive again?
Ever notice how female independence these days is strictly a construct of Big Government -- with men as the subsidizers?

My dad's cousin married a woman from Trinidad. He lives down in St Thomas. I've never been there, but my parents have been and loved it.

Everyone loves Trinidad at carnival time! Klintoon left his sticky Monica fingers there so they had to get over that experience.
St.Thomas is gorgeous. If I had money, my bet would be on Wilhemstaad,Curacao. My cousin is getting nice cushy job with Royal Dutch Shell there... ooooh sun, fresh air and very, very metropolitan.
