I remember the song but I can't remember the Crew Cuts. There were cute songs with new groups popping up every time you turned around.
If the melody and the lyrics grabbed you, the group made it. Not so long ago but the Everly Bros. stayed around for some time. I can't think of any others right now.
A silly song was "Splish Splash, I was Taking a Bath." Also, "Open the Door Richard".

The Platters ...... yes.
Now don't go putting down "Splish Splash" until you've heard it! LOL Just don't ask me who recorded it! It may have been Bobby Darin. He had some silly little songs, but I'm not sure.

I remember this song but I do not remember anything about Art & Dotty Todd. Their names do not ring a bell, but the voices are familiar.

Yes .... he almost sounds like an Elvis impersonator, doesn't he?
I wonder if he had many hits?

The Ames Brothers were popular for a long time. Lots of hits. I think all of their songs was pretty popular.

The Priceless Gift
The priceless gift of life is love,
For with the help of God above
Love can change the human race
And make this world a better place-
For love dissolves all hate and fear
And makes our vision bright and clear
So we can see and rise above
Our pettiness on wings of love.

When I Get Rich
When I get rich Im gonna switch
From beer to fancy wine
From cookhouse dregs to steak and eggs
Whenever I might dine
When I get rich Im gonna switch
From freights to gravy trains
From rot gut booze Ill pick and choose
Fine brandy and champagnes
When I get rich Im gonna switch
From bunks to huge hotels
From gloom and doom to one great room
Ill live among the swells
When I get rich Im gonna switch
From workin
they can stick it
My financial plan is to sit on my can
And purchase a lottery ticket
When I get rich Im gonna switch
From worthless friends to you
Ill treat you right, but for tonight
. . . I need a buck or two

The Month After Christmas
Twas the month after Christmas, and all through the house
Nothing would fit me, not even a blouse.
The cookies Id nibbled, the eggnog Id taste
All the holiday parties had gone to my waist.
When I got on the scales there arose such a number!
When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber)
Id remember the marvellous meals Id prepared;
The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rard
The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese
And the way Id never said, No thank you, please!
As I dressed myself in my husbands old shirt
And prepared once again to do battle with dirt.
I said to myself, as only I can
You cant spend a winter disguised as a man!
So, away with the last of the sour cream dip,
Get rid of the fruitcake, every cracker and chip
Every last bit of food that I like must be banished
Till all the additional ounces have vanished.
I wont have a cookie, not even a lick.
Ill want only to chew on a long celery stick
I wont have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie,
Ill munch on a carrot and quietly cry.
Im hungry, Im lonesome, and life is a bore!
But isnt that what January is for?
Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.
Happy New Year to all---and good diet!

The Artist's Dream
Read: Revelation 5:1-10
You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation. Revelation 5:9
Bible In One Year: Revelation 9-12
Rita Snowden wrote a book in 1937 titled If I Open My Door. In it she described a congregation that was planning to build a new place of worship. Central to its sanctuary would be a stained-glass window depicting children worshiping Jesus.
The congregation hired an artist to paint a picture of the proposed window. He fulfilled the assignment, and that night he dreamed he heard a noise in his studio. Going to investigate, he saw a stranger altering his picture. He cried out, "Stop! You'll ruin it." But the stranger answered, "You have already ruined it." The intruder then explained that the children's faces had all been one color, but he was using many colors. When the intruder said that he wanted children of all nations and races to come to him, the artist realized he was talking to Jesus Himself.
In a world where racial differences often lead to separation and conflict, it's imperative that Christians work for unity and peace. Jesus went to the cross to bring salvation to people of every nation (Revelation 5:9). Our witness and our fellowship must go beyond the barriers that have historically divided the human family (Romans 1:16; Galatians 3:28).
Do we reflect Jesus' love for all people? Vernon Grounds
Jesus loves the little children,
All the children of the world;
Red and yellow, black and white,
They are precious in His sight;
Jesus loves the little children of the world. Anon.
Jesus loves all people, not just the ones who look like you.
