Well my embarrassing memory was only embarrassing because at that age it doesn't take much to embarrass young girls.

LOL! So you want to tell us about it?

p.s. I will try to come back a bit later.

Thank you for sharing those two beautiful poems.
They are both wonderful; I especially like the Christmas poem.

We wish you and yours the very Merriest Christmas.
I hope you will continue to share your poetry with us.

My most memorable Christmas is posted in #70.

It was only embarrassing because at 16, I didn't want my friends to think we were poor. I didn't realize that there are times when anyone might need a little help.

Eartha Kitt's Santa Baby ..... thank you!

Hi Amy, I've just read your post #71.

OK, well, my first embarrassing moment was when I was 10 years old.

I couldn't sleep that night and I was anxious waiting for Santa. Later that night I heard the door open, my mom was still finishing up the decorations when I saw my dad rushing though the door carrying quite a few toys, but the biggest and most visible was a doll which I had asked Santa to get me for Christmas. I was shocked seeing my dad carrying all those toys. I realized then that my dad was Santa, I felt so bad, yet I couldn't say anything because no one saw me hiding trying to find out who was at the door. I went back to bed feeling bad, and I could hear them wrapping the presents. Well, I never told my dad I saw him.

Aww .... I think it is really tough when kids first learn that Santa is really their parents.

It is funny to watch kids who know there is no Santa but still want to believe.

Thanks for sharing your first embarrassing moment. I think it is fun to look at these experiences later. Kind of gives you a new perspective on the thinking of today's young people.

You're welcome. You know, I still get a strange feeling when I think about that moment

"I still get a strange feeling when I think about that moment"

Don't you think this is because you were not ready to give up that feeling of wonder. Tough for kids to have to face reality and especially when it would be wonderful if they could be kids for awhile longer.

My Gosh ..... where is all of this coming from? Amy .. the Philosopher. LOL

You're right. I wasn't prepared to deal with the fact that my dad was Santa. It was shocking. Oh well, I still believe in Santa, and I love my dad and mom dearly.

Hey, how about some music… we don't want to get melancholic or anything like that.

I love all Christmas music. So many different moods ... cute, moving and inspirational.

That is funny .... Mommy Kissing Santa Claus ... it kinda takes us back to your most memorable Christmas story.

I guess we all believe in Santa. It would be a very dreary world without all the Santas!

Yes, that's why I posted it.

You are absolute right. Christmas brings out the good in us all. I love Christmas… I think most people do.

I need to go to bed. I wish I could stay longer and post on your new thread, but I'm dead! LOL!!!

Night night, Amy. I'll be back in a few hours.

I told her that I thought it was a dizzy spell until I realized everyone in the room was also having dizzy spells. It's a good thing there was no emergency.

Is this another blonde joke?

The Complete Guide to Self Hypnosis

Why should I learn self-hypnosis?

Self hypnosis is an excellent way of taking control of your life. Whether your aim is to lose weight, gain more confidence or overcome fears and phobias (and so much more), you will find your own solutions to your problems.

The Complete Guide to Self Hypnosis shows you how to achieve your full potential without the need to pay expensive fees for outside help. It's a well known fact in the hypnotherapy business that 'all hypnosis is self-hypnosis'. You can learn all the techniques that you need to improve your life with this downloadable guide.

What will I learn?

This comprehensive guide teaches you how to reach the subconscious mind through bypassing your conscious mind (the part that you are thinking with right now) and implant suggestions that will be effective to your aim. It is vital that these suggestions are phrased in such a way that they will not be misunderstood. This guide shows you, in simple, easy-to-follow steps, how to create a self-hypnosis program that your mind will accept and act upon.

Can anyone learn self-hypnosis?

We are all open to suggestions during everyday life but we are free to accept or reject them. You will understand how and why certain suggestions have such an impression on you, and by completing the exercises in the guide be in a better position to design your own future. It doesn't matter if you're 19 or 99 - this guide is intended for anyone who is interested enough in their own well-being to do something about it.

The Complete Guide to Self-Hypnosis explains:

A brief history of hypnosis

How to communicate with your subconscious mind

Methods of creating your own hypnosis scripts and visualizations

How to design and use affirmations

The effect and use of symbols on the subconscious mind

How to understand which methods will be most effective for you personally

Suggestibility tests

The use of Chevreul's Pendulum

How to induce trance

All about deepening your trance state and using visualizations

How to adapt scripts to suit various problems

How to change your personal history and plan a more effective future

How to understand your dreams

The Complete Guide to Self Hypnotism is now available from Amazon

We recommend that you work through each exercise before moving on to the next one.

Do not try to hypnotize other people without a thorough understanding of the subconscious mind.

Make sure you understand each section before moving on.

If you wish to continue your studies and begin a career in hypnotherapy, you may apply for the Professional Hypnotherapy Course.

This Course in Self Hypnotism does not qualify anyone to practice Professional Hypnotherapy with other people, but it helps in controlling those annoying urges to eat chocolate candies.
