The shortcut will work with text and any images which are already hosted on a web server. It won't show images on your hard drive. I'm creating this with Outlook Express as an example.
 
Here is an image I copied and pasted from a web page:
 
Photo of Hillary Rodham Clinton (White House Photo)
 
and here's one on my hard drive:
 
 
You can't see the second one because it's not on the Internet.

Next time you put Hildebeasts' photo up you should warn us- I almost lost my breakfast!By the way - my husband and I used verisign- aka as imagecafe- to do our website- it has a format the you just plug in what you want- steps are easy to follow- many of the hotels in the area have put our website linked to theirs and ask if we will link to them- not many people use our site on their own but once they do business with us- like to check it out later(wildsidetours.com)and show their friends- or got it from the hotel link
