By the time I was 12 I had read a lot of the old science fiction stuff too. My uncle worked for a book store, and he paid my babysitting fees in paperbacks without the front covers on them. A lot of Doc Savage and really great old SF like STurgeon, PK Dick, and Frederick Pohl etc. I couldn't get enough of it.

Matthew finished Language arts while I was doing it and now both boys are assessing the enemy situation from a fort I made with a comforter behind the recliner! LOL (Earlier, they had been "parachuting" off the top bunk into the pile of linens and pillows below...geez, but that makes me nervous!)
I decided to go ahead and hang a load of laundry on the line...it's so sunny and 28 degrees! Hopefully it'll get dry before the bad weather gets here...
