We both agree that we are even more conservative than our parents.

Yeah, I conveyed the covnersation to my mother who promptly changed the subject. She couldn't get off the phone fast enough. Later, she told me she had a student and couldn't talk, but I knows better... She does that to me every time I ~try~ to talk to her intelligently.

And I quote... "*sigh* well, I gotta go, talk to ya later!" Ticks me off when she does that. I said, "Fine." and hung up. Not very respectful, and it makes me feel guilty, but then again, she was being rude as well, so we were rude to each other. It gets old after having to put up with it for a lifetime. Later that day, we made up, and all is well. (Still ticks me off when she does that though.)

My mom won't even talk politics. It's not polite conversation you know. But, gees, with family! Grama and I talked politics on a regular basis. She was a yellow dog democrat. Agreed with me on every last issue - but voted dem every time because her daddy told her too. He died in 1959 BTW! I found it my civic duty all my life to cancel out her vote!

One thing about it! This is my first round of elections where my vote ain't goin' to cancel out Grama's! LOL
