Long the shoes of power fell, through fire and water unto the uttermost foundations of stone. Darkness took them. And they strayed out of thought and time. Stars wheeled overhead and every day was as long as a life-age of the earth. But it was not the end. They felt life in them again. They've been sent back until their task is done. And they come back to you now at the turn of the tide. Might be needing some of that purifying still too.
