My mom was determined to name us all after Biblical characters, so she ended up with three boys named John, Joseph, and Matthew. Jr's given name is "James." He was pretty insistent that his brother be named "John." Turns out we did that with John Lucas, but not just because it's what Jr. wanted.
Heh...when our church was still doing our HUGH productions at Easter, one of the main songs was the mother of James and John "The Sons of Thunder" singing to Jesus about "My Boys."
Jr. was 8 when we were first involved. He was describing something the actress who played their mother. Said to the Mrs. "You know, she plays 'Thunder.'" Made sense to him.
