I wanted to stop in and say thanks to all those here who are doing troop support. I am grateful for all you are doing for our children deployed. It is great to see people truly supporting our troops. I talk to a lot of people who say "I support the troops", but you folks are putting words into action. I greet returning troops here in Bangor and nothing is more heartbreaking than to hear one of them say they feel forgotten. I only wish I could bottle the hobbit hole and put it in the liberals water system. Morale for our troops is the most important thing we can do for them. Keep up the outstanding work you are doing.
I would like to invite you all to visit the Blue Star Mothers web site and post a message to the troops. Blue Star Mothers of America has been around since WW2 and the messages you post are downloaded and mailed to our kids overseas. We also get a lot of hits from deployed military. You mught also enjoy the press release there dated 12/9. It is about Medea Benjamin and her little jaunt to Iraq. Here is the link http://bluestarmothers.org/
Once again thanks for the knives but most of all thanks for your patriotism and support to our children in harms way. As I end all e-mails to my kids; Stay Strong Stay Brave Stay Safe.

Thank you for the kind words, but we're the ones indebted to you, and your family. We do the best we can with our humble talents. WN makes a mean salsa, and packs boxes of goodies loaded with love. The rest of us contribute as best we can, either financially, or sending off our own boxes of back-home goodies.

The pocket knife project was the answer to an unprayed prayer. It provides us a way of sending something tangible, useful, and built to last several lifetimes. Body armor, tomahawks, and fighting knives are outside our price range, but the CRKT pocket knife fills a small-but-important niche. We hope the knives will serve them in peacetime, too, and get handed down to their children and grandchildren some day.

In your travels through FR, if you come across other Freepers with family or friends serving in the military, send them over here so we can "adopt" their GIs, and send them a pocket knife, and edibles/reading materials/luxuries as time permits.

I've read about the great work that the people of Bangor do to welcome returning GIs on short notice. While the happy stories are great, it takes someone with a big heart to help those returning who thought they were forgotten. We applaud you for your effort.

Hi, I haven't had a chance to talk to you before. I've been out and busy for about the last months but would like to send your sons some of our Hobbit Hole care packages.
I try to send stuff out regularly to our soldiers from the Hobbit Hole. I won't be home and able to send for 2 or 3 more days but if you would freepmail me addresses I would love to send 'em some goodies.

God bless all 3 of 'em - and you 2 for raising such a fine family! -WN
