My feet got the worst of the big bites and it's been tough not scratchin' them. I'll try the alcohol thing today and see if it helps. I'm pretty sure it was sand fleas and I'm also pretty sure they were in the carpet and sofa in the living room as well!
ksen - You should mention it to the owners. They may need to bug-bomb the place after the tenants are out.
