Just a FYI for all owners of HHD pocket knives: While "tuning" the last batch, I noticed the cap screws used for the thumb stud and blade stop were not as tight as they could be. I took one out, and noticed they used loctite on these two threads, so they are "safe", even though not as tight as I would like. I gave all the knives on hand a slight tightening of those two screws.

Since those two screws have loctite on them, you shouldn't be concerned. However, if you ever want to check the tightness of the screws, remember that the two screws that hold on the pocket clip did not have loctite on them, and some were on the borderline of being loose before I tightened them. And if you do want to tighten any of the screws, those are metric hex sockets, so you should use only metric hex wrenches.

Once I get the latest (I won't say "final" any more) ten knives back from the engraver, I'll have 23 HHD Specials on hand for immediate deployment. So get out there and find more troops that we can give them to!

Now here's another item I think any GI would love, but at a list price of $60 (best price I've seen is $40), is a bit beyond our price range. It's made by Kershaw, and appeals to the geeky side of the knife collector in me.
