On the other hand, if you showed up with your custom license plate, you'd probably get loads of applause.

Eh, Rose and I have been to a few cons, both SF and comic-book related. It was a lot of fun!

You know, Entmoot can be classified as a "con", in the classic sense: a group of friends with a shared interest getting together at a planned event. A private convention, rather than a public one.

SF cons tend to get a little odd, don't they?

Still, I'd love to go to one someday. Maybe I'll make it to a Worldcon some year and watch the Hugos.

I can get 2 more tickets for each performance. I'll call you tonight W and we'll work out the details. PQ yes, these tickets are paid for. I'm leaving at about noon time too and driving up to Houston for it too. We will find a good place to meet up around 430 or 500.

I still like the month long celebrations - minus the 1st for Jill's birthday and the 11th for Tommy G's birthday. I let each of them have their day.... hmmmm... I might have to start subtracting the 15th for 2J too! :-)

We are back and he still hasn't responded!

The river was high, but not extraordinarily so....

Went for a good walk.... ecurbh made me run across a log, knowing how afraid of heights I am! It looked just like this one!

That all works for me. I was already thinkin' of calling you after while anyways. And I drive from Waco to Humble in 3 hours so we're good on the time. I just will have to find out where in Houston this thing is!

Well, I guess it depends on one's definition of "odd". We have seen some unusual things at cons, but we had a lot of fun too.

We made it to the WorldCon in San Antonio a few years ago... 1999? 1998? I forget. We drove down on Saturday, just spent the day there. Had to leave before the Hugo awards presentation started, though. Most memorable thing from that con was hearing Princess Diana's death announced on the car radio, as we were driving back.

Austin has an annual SF con, Armadillocon. We've been to that one a few times; the first time we went was the year they had Roger Zelazny (my favorite author) as the Guest of Honor. Favorite memory from that con was walking past him in the hallway, on our way to one of the panel discussions.

Yikes! Not sure that's a good thing!

On the other hand, Van-sama is stuck with the name. Oops.

I would let 2J have a day of her own. I let Jill and Tommy have one. Just means I get to take more days for myself in April! HA!!!
