Ew, yes. Ugh. I'd never be able to get to sleep knowing *that* was going to greet me. but Jen.... the Ew at the start of that scares me!

Here's the email Steve sent me. This is from the guy on the scene, so I think his views carry great weight.
All of us are very greatful for what you guys are doing for us. There seems to be some concern as to using an unsecure radio in a combat zone. Let me assure that all of us are well aware not to broadcast secure information over an open frequency. We use them primarily on convoys to alert the convoy commander of any problems we may encounter, such as breakdowns, or if we get any hostile actions directed at us, we can then notify everyone else. Once you are being fired at, security is no longer an issue, they know where you are and what you are doing. It becomes important at that point to communicate with everyone else in the group which allows us to effectively suppress the hostile actions. Once again thank you for everything.

Yeah, I remember the cranking too. Tough for a little girl's arms. When it would get too hard my brother would take over. But there was that something about having helped make it that gave an extra enjoyment to eating it.

Don't know if I mentioned this or not, but I'm leaving tonite for Kentucky. Got an alumni board meeting. So when I leave the office today, I'll be offline until sometime on Sunday.
Having a bit of a Corin day. Walked outside and promptly fell on the ice. Landed my lower back right on the edge of the brick steps....sigh...
Our prayer concern today is that everything goes well with Nana's doctor and the surgery can proceed. Also that things go smoothly enough that the Mrs. can make the trip with me. Her sister is here to care for Nana and the boys.
