LOL...2 broken arms, 3 broken toes, fly-ball to the right temple, several concussions, and an amazing fall off of a 20 foot ladder, where I managed to somehow walk away completely unscathed.

I've never had stitches though...I need to get to work on that!

Jess had that procedure twice...I had to take some time out of work because she was down for so long afterwards.

It was remarkable...The whole procedure only took a short amount of time, but she was down longer afterwards than she was for her "up-and-down" c-section.

Weather weenies are predicting rainfall amounts up to two inches. Nothing coming down at the moment though... I think we're between waves.

I never had my arm broken, dislocated twice or three times at the elbow, never broken.

My feet have been fractured, but not outright broken. That was from bootcamp, and the steel toed boondockers that you have to wear about four pairs of socks to get em to really fit. In my case, I was wearing all the socks prescribed, but we were in Chicago in -60 degree snow and ice, marching double time. Stress fractures...

By the time all was said and done, boot camp was overwith, and my feet were swollen, black and blue, and so tender that I couldn't get even one pair of socks on, much less shoes. At that point, though it was too late. The doc said either live with it, healed incorrectly, and have swollen feet forever, or get both feet rebroken to fix it. I opted to live with it. BTW, it changed my shoe size too, odd that.

I went into the emergency room Saturday night, had the surgery Sunday morning, and was discharged from the hospital Tuesday afternoon. But, it was Thursday before I could walk to the kitchen and back in our house without feeling worn out... and really, about a month before I could do a full day's activity without feeling it.

I think you made a great choice...I can't imagine the pain it would cause if you had to have your feet re-broken.

Well, but she would have had drugs when the doctors did it.

They always save the good stuff for when you can't even enjoy it!

Oooh, yeah... they gave me demerol in the emergency room, and after my surgery. Good stuff, Maynard!

Unfortunately, I can't take any of that stuff. I have a bit of a bad history with painkillers, and now even when I have a tooth pulled, I have to tell the dentist not to prescribe anything.

Did you all hear about Kobe Bryant's lawyer raising the race issue in his case?

Please.

Aw Corin. I'm sorry to hear about Jr. Will be praying. That scripture is one that I ended up praying a lot when I broke a bone in my foot! I ended up not having to have all the surgeries they said I would. It healed perfectly!

IN OTHER NEWS - I'm here at Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Lynn's again this weekend. We were sitting here having a nice little lunch. Their son Jason and his wife Stephanie and their 2 kids and a friend are here too. Got a call from Uncle Lynn's dad. Uncle Lynn's mom had a stroke this morning and they've run over to the next town to the hospital to check it out. Pray please!!!

Uncle Lynn is an only child. His parents have always been very good to me. Since they have such a small family and my family is so freakin' weird sometimes they kinda took in me and my kids as theirs too.

*sigh*

I don't know why all this stuff is happening all of a sudden to people I care about. But, of all people I know you have an understanding.

Well, its a drizzly day here too. I'm kinda likin' it 'cept for the worries about Uncle Lynn's mom (Fayrene). Me and Jason and Stephanie are sittin' down in the hamshack. The 3 kids are runnin' crazy playing up in the upper part of the house. Jason's playin' his guitar. Stephanie's playin' solitaire and I'm freepin'. :-)

Fixin' to walk to the Texaco and get me and Jason a Dr. Pepper though.

Maybe it is a test. But, I'm pretty sure after all that's happened in the last year I've flippin' passed everything!

Off the get the Dr. Peppers and cigarettes. It's only a block. I'll be right back. Nice sitting here while Jason plays his guitar though. I could do this all day!

Elf-boy is in the tub. I am taking him to his god-brother's birthday party in a few. He is painfully honest these days (prolly due to me harping on him telling the truth to me) and is very likely to tell everyone there (including/especially his godmother) that he doesn't like pizza! I had better make him a peanut butter sandwich before we go. LOL.
