The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
ecurbh

Posted on 12/11/2003 2:07:57 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Morning all; Samantha walked, had first breakfast and lots of coffee. Got the list for storm prep.

Corin: good news about Jr.; healing will take a bit of time but glad he's okay. Did you find out how it happened? Let me guess, its his right wrist and he's right handed.

OT; good luck with the real estate lady (winterset winter white).

Hair; numb hands can make typing interesting to say the least.

Well, time to get cracking, and we're burning daylight.

I'm on the waiting list too!

They have probably had one dusty copy of Bakshi around all these years, and now with new demand they will buy more. By then, this little group will have gotten through it, and they will all collect dust.... Netflix will think "Hey, who's jerkin us around?"

Get out! Me too!

My right arm, exactly 5 years apart from each other...both happened right before summertime, so I spent two whole summers of my life on the beach.

LOL...us lil' ol' Hobbits greatly affecting a national DVD rental company.

I think we, collectively, have great powers...

If only we could apply them for GOOD.

Dang, yer good.

He said it happened right at the top just as he was heading down (and, of course it was their last run of the night). He slipped and fell. Landed on his hand.

The DVD of Power?

(I've got the Baskshi on my list too, but it's down to about #80, so I'm not in a hurry)

First time I fell off a jungle gym... Second time I fell off my horse. Second time was worse, was the two bones in my forearm broke and my forearm bent about 30 degrees. Was quite a sight!

My growing up a lazy slug apparently had its benefits. I was in college before I ever broke anything.

Leg. Roller skating.

I broke my left arm both times and I am left-handed!

I bet it matters less now to break the dominant hand than when we were young..... We had-wrote everything then, and now he can at least type with one hand easier than writing off-handed.

You're the statistic that made 'em take all the jungle gyms off the playground!

Well the good thing is that we're at semester break and he doesn't have school on Monday and Tuesday. He should be okay to write by Wednesday (or sooner).

He paid for the trip but we had to outfit him with snowpants. Told him I coulda broken his arm for a lot less money.

We had one of those metal swingsets in our yard when I was growing up. When I was about three I was out there with my brother after a rain storm. My brother thought the best way to get rain out of the seats on the teeter-totter was to swing it back and forth.

I looked down to watch the water fall out...I've still got the scar on the side of my nose (nine stitches).

I'll take the liberty of calling paramedics and having them put on stand-by. :-)
