Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I dunno. Wasn't here for the daytime schedule...

I have it on DVD.

They're talking about the Spirit as if they have it connected in "safe mode" or something like that. They have basic comms, and are carefully hopeful that they'll be able to bring it back to operational.
I wouldn't say it's a sure thing but it is something.

No word on the jury? :-)
I don't know if I'd want you on a jury of mine or not. You would prolly try to torture me!

Hi everyone!
I don't know why I still have the Dem debate on. It's really a pathetic display of borderline-insane, preening, know-it-all, condescending, truth-stretching, cross-eyed, poorly dressed collectors of belly button lint!

Actually, unlike a lot of people, I have a lot of faith in our ability to get this online and keep it that way - at least for some time. I think our people are good enough that they learn a tremendous amount from all mistakes. Sure, sometimes something goes wrong and mess up the whole shootin' match. But, even when that happens, think of all the stuff that has had to go right just to get that far!

I don't find out about jury duty until tomorrow night (I think) or Sunday night at the latest. That's when I call in and see if my number is up. The duty starts monday, and then for two weeks.
But it'll be a deal of just calling every night before and checking to see if I have to go in.
Truth be told, I'd love to be on a jury. Hopefully it would be a halfway interesting case. It would be an interesting experience.
It comes, however, at a *really* unfortunate time. Oh well... I'm not bagging out.

I was just in the kitchen popping my corn. When the corn stopped popping, I hear this hum...what is that HUM?? I think the hum is coming from the living room, so I creep around to see what it could be...nothing. Then I notice the fan out on the back porch that I have blowing on the clothes out there...that was it!
Kinda startled me there for a sec...didn't know what that hum was! LOL

Well, you mentioned that you hoped you'd get on a jury so I hope that you do. And a really interesting case too! It would be fun. And even if it's bad timing it would get you away from the mess for a few days! That can't be *all* bad. You don't have to think about all the work getting backef up while you're away! :-)
Besides, all of us know that you'll just go to the bar after your jury time anyway and answer phone calls and emails about work.

Hi Ruthy!!! Was trying to follow the live thread for a while but have pretty much given up.
To: 2Jedismom
Why do you have a fan blowing on clothes on the back porch? Was that the mini-drama I missed today?

Yah... sure. But that cuts into quality beer hours.

Elf-boy has the day off tomorrow. PE is the one on a schedule. If we could get it together, we could all meet up. Do you still have the phone number? (I have to be honest, I don't have yours anymore.)

Hehehehe...no worries!
Becky is off at the wedding rehearsal for my cousin's wedding Saturday night. My aunt came and picked her up earlier this afternoon and I figure everyone is at the restaurant by now.
I had to stay home and wait for Alyson to be dropped off. Not only that, but come to find out that I can't go to the wedding on Saturday because Alyson's dad has to fly to New York to pick up his new wife from Russia. He just found out today that her visa was approved.
My family is not pleased by this turn of events, but I refuse to ruin my cousin's wedding by showing up with a child that I know will not behave well at a formal event.
