Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Do we have a HH recipe collection? If not, we need one.

Clare and I just had a laugh about that. She asked who would get Columbus Day off; I thought it might be the Indians. She also wondered if the Pagan kids got the day off on the Winter Solstice. LOL! While I was active duty, one of the guys I went through school with, and was later stationed with, was a Pagan. The command wasn't too keen on it, but they did let him have all the Pagan holidays. He is an interesting individual, to say the least.

I think a photo album would be cool, too - something separate from Entmoot or event pictures - just a list of screen names with a picture to match up with each of 'em.

Well, I think Hair is right, important though it is, the other stuff pales in significance to the terror threat.
I'm putting my money on GW.
I hope he does a good enough job that Hillary won't even be considered next time around. I hope things go well.
Hm, I hear fighter jets outside, wonder what that's all about.

Hullo Hobbit Holers!
Stopping by to see how you all are. So glad everyone made it back safely and had such a good time. Have enjoyed looking at the pictures and new art work for the web site. Good job. Welcome back.
Hope all who stayed in the "Hole" had a good weekend and are doing well as we start this week.
Terry came in late Saturday evening from Rochester, NY, stayed Sunday so he could do paperwork, have his clothes washed and repacked (by yours truly), make reservations to fly to his next job in Chicago, and then left for Chicago yesterday. He arrived as scheduled and is currently enjoying all that a "Motel 8" can offer (only hotel available near where he has to work). He said it is cold, but I don't think he has had snow, thank God. He had a time of it in Rochester last week.
Went to the doctor and got the after Christmas good news that my cholestorial is not good and was put on medicine. Other than that for the most part, health is holding. (thanks to blood pressure meds, ect.)
The family is OK as well. So that is good, huh.

I have made a New Year's resolution to walk a little every day, and to ride Bay a little every day that it isn't pouring....Just walkin' around a bit to get him in shape for another year of work if he's willing! Easy does it....
We even got Bruce up! - First horsey ride! Isn't that fun!? Bareback even! He had a good time! Bay will be a good teacher for him!
To: mstar
Hi Mstar! I just got back from my best friend's house! GUESS WHAT SHE GAVE ME!!
She gave me "Walking with Frodo"...a daily devotional by Sara Arthur!
Editorial Reviews
Book Description
Tolkien's Lord of the Rings epic tale has long captivated readers with its parallels to biblical truth. Walking with Frodo looks at the biblical themes found in the classic Lord of the Rings trilogy. The 18 devotions pair vices and virtues (deception vs. honesty, light vs. darkness, good vs. evil) displayed by characters in The Lord of the Rings and bring to light what the Bible has to say. A must-have for longtime and new series fans.
I'm pretty tickled, to say the least!

New worm draws Sobig comparisons
Virus software up to date? - Mine has been issuing updates a couple times a day last few days.... lots of things goin' round.
To: HairOfTheDog
Yes, I noticed it too...more updates than usual. Should be ok.
I just checked for updates and it says it's up-to-date.
Also, I don't automatically open my attachments any more...I check my email on line now...I have to physically click on and open any attachments, including things like email wallpapers even!
So hopefully, I will catch anything before it catches me.
