Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

O vey...as I type..Mad Howard is just going off..Ummm..he came in 3rd and he is going off thinking that he won the Presidency...ain't it time for
BARF alert yet?
Madder than a the Mad Hatter fer sure...
Anyhoo..I had an interesting night...as I was going to my friends house, I noticed my battery light was on.. Oh great, I thought. Glad that I was going to my friends house for he is very adaptable in car mechanics..I ain't. Well, he checked it out and the battery was not charging. O vey, the alternator, eh? Well...O'Reilly was not that far away from his house, so I make a quick trip over there. The battery light was still on. BUT as soon I get into the parking lot, the battery light goes off. (!$@!$!)I buy the alternator anyhow, go back to friends house. The light is STILL off. I ask my friend to check again. Guess what? The battery is charging. (What the Morder is going on!?) I decide not to change the alternator. I will keep eye on light.
Well...I was going home and I thought that I will stop by O'Reilly once more and ask the manager to check it out with his handy dandy measuring machine. I told him the whole story on what's going on.It came to find out that the alternator was bad. SOOOO..I went back to my friend's house and he replaced it. Took only about 15-20 minutes. I even went back and got my $50.00 back.
Whew..I am pooped..what a night! I hate this kind "surprises", ya know? I am glad though that I have my friend as a "true friend". He has helped me out in many, many ways...
Well, Dick Gepardt is planning to pull out...watching him now...Back to St.Louis you go!

Replacing my shoes will cost me $25.00 plus shipping. Where do I send the bill?
To: GulfWar1Vet
You're VEY lucky to have such a friend. I remember the time I couldn't get anyone to follow me to the local Sears after I had my truck jump started after the battery quit. I sweat bullets the whole way just waiting for my truck to die.
I love my truck, but it does have the bad habit of just killing the battery outright from one day to the next. I just have to remind myself to change the battery every 24 months to avoid being left stranded.

You didn't "appropriate" them.
I have faith that my friends wouldn't keep something that belongs to me. Even if they are just "shoes" they are precious to me.
(and pricey to replace)

American Idol is coming on now. Gonna subject Hair to it. I only like to watch the opening round though... and maybe the finals. The rest I find really boring.

Just don't start putting on ~airs~ now. LOL

You'll enjoy it. Except for Scooter Girl. I found her VEY annoying and dread seeing her in episodes to come.
Keep an eye out for Scat Girl!

Hair; dang, SHE has the Soccer Slides?

MLK didn't need Malcolm, quite the opposite, in fact. But MLK's influence would have, over time, moderated the NOI's radical stances, and given Martin more of an entrée into the urban ghettos. Martin's message of education and self-reliance would have taken better root there, and set high expectations.
Instead, we got Jesse, and no expectations, and victimization, and pimping. Feh.
