Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I don't know...I've never thought about a mute. I can't whistle loud enough! LOL I like it so loud the walls vibrate and the kids cover their ears!
Which is perhaps why Steve hates my whistling...??
LOL!

I find it kind of funny that the term used decades ago ("colored people") is considered racist and offensive, yet the preferred politically correct phrase of today is "persons of color".
lol...it took 50 years to get right back where we started...lovely, isn't it?

Well I'm in an apartment now and don't want to set off any volume wars ya know.
To: Sam Cree
Hey, those are sea trout, in the croaker family, not real trout.
Yep. ;)

"lol...it took 50 years to get right back where we started...lovely, isn't it?" Yeah. I enjoy racial and cultural differences, but sometimes I wish all the races could be so intermarried that there won't be any racial differences. That's probably the only way we'll ever get over all this foolishness.

Sea trout are cool, though, with their snaggle teeth and orange mouths. Taste good, too.

You have GOT to be kidding me!! Yeah, when one of my brother's friends mentioned it, I thought he WAS kidding...until a bunch of people backed him up. We never went to that school. Can you imagine, though?
I guess it's only racism when you don't give BLACK kids a day off? Not to mention...those poor kids...what are you supposed to do with a day off when all your friends are still in school. Not to mention it's sure to create bad feeling. I'm just astounded.
To: RosieCotton
So how many black kids are in Vermont anyway?

Guess who just sent me a Freepmail letting me know he's here?
To: Overtaxed
Not that many. Which makes it even more of a singling-out thing.
Going to go make lunch...
No steak, though. *snif*

Is there a piper in the house?

Didn't have Irish Cream in my coffee this morning.

I think I may need to give him a cheatsheet for screennames, too...
Who are all you people?!?
To: RosieCotton
BTW did you get that case of Vernor's home?
To: Overtaxed
It made it home, yes! A few of the cans were dinged a bit, but no explosions or leakage.
But...are you ready for another rant?
We only had those 12 cans, right? Precious, precious stuff. And last night my littlest sister had a friend over. This is a kid who drives my Dad nuts 'cause she will open a can of pop, take one sip, and leave it. There are sometimes a couple of full, open cans around by the time she leaves.
And you can guess what happened...she got out a can of VERNOR'S, and though Teresa told her that was Dad's, either she didn't think Teresa was serious (and apparently the point wasn't hammered home) or didn't care. So...they found an open can of Vernor's with maybe one sip out of it, all flat and warm. It was not a pretty scene, I can guess, though I wasn't there at the time. Baaaad thing to do. Teresa is NOT on anyone's happy list right now.

Kolaches yes, and Colorado yes. New Mexico too!
Jen, most of Texas is vey beautiful.
Other states have quaint old mills
Beauty in their mountains,
Beauty in their rolling hills,
Beauty in their fountains
Beauty in the way folks say
Welcome, welcome y'all
But, something in the awesome way
Our Texas has it all.

The Cheat sheet:
Welcome Bilbo!
To: HairOfTheDog
Oh yeah! That works! Thanks!
