We are back from "The Penguin Ball" (seriesly that's what they called it)

It was a good evening catching up with some old friends. My knee is paying for having to stand on a concrete floor for three hours. But there's news.

Found out I will not be getting the job offer. I had suspected as much anyway. But the job has been narrowed down to four candidates with specific experience for this program.

But, I made another vey good contact. Let's just say this one is big, vey big. I just need to decide if I want to pursue something. I won't post details here, but I can splain it by FReepmail if ya wanna know. Otherwise, if something happens, I'll bring it up again.

Well. Jason just called again from the hospital. He and Uncle Lynn should be heading back here in a half hour or so. They don't think Aunt Cheryl had a heart attack but there is some blockage and they are keeping her till Monday. :-(

Well. I think it's good news I guess. Kinda worried about her. Hospital personnel wasn't too happy with her either since she wouldn't go into emergency till she finished her cigarette either. LOL Somehow, that didn't impress 'em.

She's had a lot of physical problems in the last few years. Not in good shape. Has a hard time bouncing back from things. Kinda concerning.

OTOH, she *was* well enough to finish the cigarette before going in. LOL

Speaking of disturbing, I saw Spongebob Squarepants for the first time last night. There is something SERIOUSLY wrong with a show where an animated sponge runs around wearing nothing but skivvies much of the time.

morning all, cold has me on the ropes but not down yet; took the opportunity yesterday to watch FOTR EE DVD, with subtitles on. Plan on a bit more today, as I suck on Cold-Eze.

I'm seriously feeling spoiled again this morning. Sitting up in bed with laptop in lap and coffee brought to me in bed by my uncle. Looking out the wall of windows in my bedroom here at the home turf. Gee it's funny how nice little things in life can be! :-)

Soon as I finish this coffee I'm fixinta head over to Waco to see Aunt Cheryl in the hospital, go to WalMart to get Abby some birthday cupcakes and head to Dallas to the airport to see 'em. :-) I am a spoiled and happy elf! :-)

Seems like entmoot vacation is stretched out a bit longer for me because of this little visit at the airport today. I am finally really getting excited about it. There will be photos.... but it may not be for a day or so.

Aunt Cheryl is okay mostly. No heart attack but some series blockage. And she has several other serious contributing factors that the cardiologist is quite concerned about so the are keeping her at *least* until tomorrow and maybe longer. We may not know any *real* information until late tomorrow. But, she is in good spirits. :-)

Mornin' OB! Sorry to hear about your cold. Nasty those. That one I got the day after Christmas is long gone but I am still coughing a bit. Hate how those hang on. Sounds like you've got a good plan for dealing with it today though. Enjoy!
