The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

That is so cool that you have let him control his learning! So many schools don't or won't let kiddos go at their own pace.
IMO, which isn't worth but two cents, for future den projects that include parental guidance, just make two of everything. One that parents use to demonstrate, and the one perfected by the kiddo. That way when asked, "Did your parent help you?" Then Matthew, or Joshua, can honestly answer yes and can also say, "Here is the one my parent did, and here is mine." Sure, it's twice the work, but it is also twice the smack in the face of You-Know-Who.

My mom's sister gets to watch all the launches. She lives in Titusville.

While we're talking knives, I have two more CRKT t-shirts (XL). The first two folks to freepmail me get them. Nobody took me up on the last order, so I have two this time.

I suppose probably Peter Jackson and Michael Jackson are both named after Stonewall Jackson.

I'm relieved you are doing better. A few of your posts were kind of scary.

You can actually see the launches quite clearly as far away as Miami, and even Key Largo, strangely.

That is a vey cool thing, that I wish I could see up close. I saw the shuttle break apart overhead here in Texas, and I wish seriesly that I hadn't. It was one of those moments when you just know something has gone horribly wrong, and you are helpless to do anything about it.

I agree.
I was standing on the dock in Key Largo the cold morning (even there) that Challenger blew up. Me and a couple guys were watching it go up, over Card Sound.
I remember being kind of amazed at the smoke it was suddenly making, but hadn't realized there was a problem. Found out a minute later though, from someone who had been watching it on TV.
Saw a couple go up from Miami too, that were fine.

Can't sleep, remembered the ponies. Glad to hear all is well. Beautiful pics. Marketable those. What a calendar. I'd buy one of those.
