"I watched for a few minutes until I saw they had Starbuck as a Woman."
"I refuse to watch it because of this."
Oh for Pete's sake, don't blow off a halfway decent Sci show because of that. You know, in its own way, such an attitude is its own political correctness. We're talking about an alien culture -- not Earthlings. You can debate all you want about whether women should be in combat and all that, but this is fiction -- you know, make believe. And let's be honest, she looks and acts more like a man than pretty little Apollo does.
It's not the best show, but it's not bad so far. I think tuning out may be your loss.

Uh, you may want to recheck your definition of political correctness. I suffered through enough Star Trek Voyager episodes to know when someone is using a so called entertainment show to preach political correctness at me. It ruins the show for me and I'm sick of it. I'll watch Babylon 5 or Stargate SG1 on dvd.
By the way, you did know the same guy who worked on Voyager (which was the absolute worst star trek series ever made) made the changes to StarBuck? His name escapes me but the minute I learned he was involved with the show, I made my decision to skip it.

I agree, if people want to get picky about it being P.C, you could say the same thing about the old series as well.
Athena and Sheba were both viper pilots in the original.
I'm sure some thought that was "racey" back in the day.
