That's her. The same one. I think her husband was President of Caprica, and was killed.

The multiple, nearly-simultaneous nukes are chilling. Thoughts of prepositioned Soviet-era suitcases, Chi-Com container-ship nukes are hard to suppress...

When Galactica made its debut on ABC back in the 70's, I stayed up until 11:30 -- two hours past my beddime -- to watch the entire thing. I loved it.

I was 13.

This "remake" is a travesty. SCIFI spent all their money on beautiful CGI work and ship design and scrimped on set/costume design and writing. Boomer, an Asian woman? Starbuck, a randy blonde? And, worst of all, a Cylon gone silicon. PUHLEEESE! I had hopes when the robotic cylons walked in. They were GORGEOUS, far more impressive than the bimbo.

My husband is watching this. I'm not going to repeat what I did when I was 13.

I am going to bed.

then you're missing out -- big time.

It's not your father's battlestar galactica -- it's better. Better effects, better acting, better story.

If starbuck had been starbuck you'd be comparing the old to the new instead of immersing into the NEW story.

Did they make the Cylons into blonde chicks? Cubicle bound so I can't watch it right now.

There are a lot of folks who will refuse to give the new a try. I can understand that, but this is pretty good if you treat it as something on its own.

I recognized the foul stench of Political Correctness almost immediately.

The original was not really that good but was watchable. The main reason I watched was to ogle Maren Jensen, I forget what her name was, maybe Athena.

It's not my thing. I always kidded my wife when she watched Star Trek by calling it the "'Boing' Show".

If it wasn't 38 degrees, no wind, and dark outside, I'd go sailing.

Only one Cylon has been seen so far and it is a blonde chick. Mean.

There's still the metal Cylons, but there's 12 blonde "Infiltration" units, one of whom was responsible for shutting down Caprica's defenses.

There's at least one Cylon/human hybrid blonde chick - when she gets killed, there are more where she came from (and her thoughts and memories get implanted into the replacement body). There are also totally robotic Cylons.

The originals are still there, if stylized. The blond chick is a new model (ala terminator's metal man -- we can build her better, stronger...) It's pretty good -- enemy within stuff the producers made a few edits to allow the viewers to see the cylons as arabs and the survivors as us if the arabs got their way. Very subtle but will have a lot of relevance to a generation weaned on 9-11. So far it's worth the price of admission.

Commander Adama has always refused to keep networked computers on the Galactica because of the Cylon's ability to tear into networks. It would have helped if the first fighter squadron did the same.

And I have to say I like the shinier old Cylons. These guys just don't do it. What are they trying to do with this. Reminds me of Starship Troopers with something else. Just can't figure out what that something else is
