December 5, 2003 -- NOT every rocker is an anti-war George Bush-hater. Former Rolling Stone bassist Bill Wyman told the London Telegraph: "We went in there and did the job and won." Speaking in favor of National Service (Britain's draft), Wyman continued: "I did it in the 1950s. I was in the Army for a year, and that's why I support the war. National Service calms you down and gives you perspective. Perhaps I would have been even more crazy without it." PageSix
Here's some of the hyperbole and hysteria from the union:
ISU President Mark Glyptis said called the president's decision to rescind the Section 201 tariffs a "blow to the working people of America." "We now see what kind of leader we have in the White House," Glyptis said. "He made a promise to us last year, he stood up for American steel, and now he has caved to the economic terrorism from foreign steelmakers and their governments." link
On the other hand, a local resident commented, "We're in a global market. We can't isolate ourselves. If they (the steel companies) don't want to compete, they can lock up the doors and go home."
Members of the Leroy family in Washington thought they were the target of a prankster when they kept finding a stray dog inside their parked car.
Intent on catching the culprit, they set up a video camera to record the vehicle.
However, they were surprised at what they caught on film. The video captured the dog as she opened the car door on her own and climbed inside.
The family is now circulating posters of the dog and has contacted the local Humane Society.
So far, no one has claimed the canine.

Not surprizingly, regular folks know the score and aren't fooled.
Oh please M, write an opinon letter to your newspaper and remind them of all the help clinton gave to them.
During his speech, Clark issued a stinging critique of the Bush foreign policy, founded after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, on the new doctrine to strike first against terrorists or nations known to be harboring them.
I think my first act is to put the pre-emptive strike doctrine into the shredder, Clark said to applause from a crowd of more than 150 jammed into the colleges lounge.
But, but, what if Russians take over an airport somewhere?
Oh geez, here we go and again with the tears.
Clark got emotional after lashing out at Bushs failure to publicly meet with the families of the more than 400 soldiers who have been killed in Iraq.[How does this lying scum get away with these lies?! BTW, clinton is the one who exploits grieving families in public.]
He will go to a dozen fund-raisers for re-election, but he wont go to one home and put his arms around a mother who has lost a child and thats wrong, Clark said, his eyes welling up with tears.
Later in the interview, Clark said during his 35-year military career he met often with the families of soldiers at their homes or at memorial services. [That was your job stupid, the president can't possibly meet with every family.]
When you are in the military, you end up doing a lot of that and its all very personal, he said.
Clark said Bushs foreign policy has been contradictory and confrontational with his allies who otherwise would support an American president who properly used the bully pulpit.
This administration is all bully and no pulpit, he said. [Which clintonite gave you that one Wessie?]
Clark also criticized Bushs dare to the insurgents in Iraq after the war ended.
Only someone who hasnt seen war firsthand would say something as factious as, Bring them on, Clark said, quoting Bush. [How did this guy make general?]Link
Haven't we heard of instances where Bush met with families privately, without cameras or reporters present, to express his condolences? To idiot Dems like Weasley, grief is just something to be exploited.

U.S. first lady Laura Bush hosted a press preview of the decorations at the White House, including 19 Christmas trees, 660 feet of garlands, 245 wreaths, 251 bows, 70,000 lights and 43 papier mache storybook figures, along with a giant gingerbread White House. Yes and that nasty cold is almost gone!
Oh my, those shrimp look good... Looking forward to Barney Cam and seeing all the WH decorations.
Kudos to these college kids:

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Governor Dean, you often criticize the Bush administration for its secrecy. How do you reconcile this with the steps you have taken to seal away documents from your time in Vermont?
DEAN: Well...
MATTHEWS: Are you working for any campaign? Seriously.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Not at this time.
MATTHEWS: Not tonight or...
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I would be a Bush supporter.
MATTHEWS: Youre a Bush supporter?
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I am a bush supporter.
MATTHEWS: OK, good nice to know that.
DEAN: (UNINTELLIGIBLE)
MATTHEW: I say that because this guy just put his t-shirt on right behind the candidate.
DEAN: Actually, to be honest with you, I am actually glad there are this many Republicans at Harvard.
(LAUGHTER)
DEAN: At least 15 percent, thats fine.
Well... you are just a kid. :-)
