I exhaled
my love's name
into the bottomless
green of a well,
neither a wish
nor a reply,
but a coin
in the beggar's
bowl that rounds
my heart.
It's resolute
dinging ringing
left me thinking
that the sound
of it hitting the bottom
would assure
his ascendence.
And yes it climbed
skyward though
I sent it down
with gelt to insure
it would be heard
and it echoes
against the walls
again and again
my whisper

the refrain
his name,
a name
released

the refrain
his name,
a name
released

silent symbols
salient silence
a circle
turning back
on itself
rings
the truth
without
naming regret

The Sound of His Roar

His wings are the sound

of his roar

and his breathing is his love

His magic

to my nothingness of

riding his wind of love...
