To: Camachee
tented days billow
in the wavering
wind of hopeful
words that
are placed,
messages upon
prayer wheels
as if repetition
mattered more
than intent.

RECOLLECTIONS
Ubiquitous light
Shines, tarries
Taunts
To: Neuromancer
i suffer
the sibilent silence
of a turnkey
reality
walkup
momentum
motionless
in a dingy
half a double

To: Camachee
I submit
to the sadness
of silence
and accept
as my own
the necessary
pockets of poverty
in a lassez faire
system.
But I admit
it is the dread
of the even injustice
of a command economy
that breaks my banks
and floods my resistance
with devalued currency.

sighing softly
she dreaded
the unrolling
of mandarin scrolls
and solitary strolls
past bright lily ponds
reflecting one face
framed in clouds
and doubts

I explore your smile
with my mind
the emotion is strong
you are overpowering
I love you through rising,
changing, waters
in your arms
I found your joy....

a hopeful artist
asked me to pause
and pose
assuming
i have the
grace and poise
to be naked

I explore your smile she remembered
a smile
and a silence
wanting one
but fearing
the other
in the chill
morning of chicago

do you
remember
a halcyon moment
when direction
was uppermost
and the cat
followed you
through
the garden

I do remember
that calm moment
in the garden
the cat on my heels
you on my mind
Tranquil warm afternoons
butterflies on the cat's mind
and the smell of jasmine
on the wind
I remember I missed you
the shadow of your smile
your wind tossed hair
and the gentleness of you
Yes, I remember a halcyon moment

how did the sun rise

i've migrated
from the strident
innocent
arrogance
of youthful
inspiration
and hope
to the pedagogy
of redundant
recitation
i thought
i'd last
longer

i sit
alone
at a table
for ten
pondering
the felt
and feeling
the consequence
of a full house

Which hurts worse:
The changes we choose,
or the changes that choose us?
To: Camachee
it's a gambol
feeling the spring
sprung release
of winter's cold
hold, and freshet
forces moving the detritus
damned, slammed, and jammed
but melt moves the moment
and makes stay a temporary
testament to the meaning
of the force of change
that assures that renewal
remains the same.

Decoration Day
Meet me where
Spring fastens
its medals
on winter's empty
chested blowing.
Find me the memento
fit and fine where
the impulse of line
and vine stutters
and retreats
from certainty staggered
in the new growth.
Remember the frost
of the cold time
and the froth
of the imperative
to duplicate, climb
and decline
which flowers all
the lost
with the memory
of blooming time.

I exhaled
my love's name
into the bottomless
green of a well,
neither a wish
nor a reply,
but a coin
in the beggar's
bowl that rounds
my heart.
It's resolute
dinging ringing
left me thinking
that the sound
of it hitting the bottom
would assure
his ascendence.
And yes it climbed
skyward though
I sent it down
with gelt to insure
it would be heard
and it echoes
against the walls
again and again
my whisper
the refrain
his name,
a name
released
