No need to feel sheepish. I was just respond to some comments further down the thread from Nully's post about politics. Yes, we have had some heated discussions in the past, and I remember one in particular that resulted in a real schism. Those of us on this thread are certainly not monolithic in our beliefs and opinions, nor should we be. My hope is that we can have our disagreements, and remain friends.

Looking back, I think the one that schismed (is that a word?) the thread was over a pretty silly point......I was too busy and was not posting for about 3 months when that happened. One of those who left, I disagreed with deeply on a couple of points, but I really enjoyed their company and miss them.

We do have a lot of different viewpoints on this thread, one of many reasons I enjoy it here. I would hope we can discuss without losing it as well. In that we are in on the same page.
