Oh .. when my sister was cleaning out one dresser .. she let out a scream

She had found my grandmothers favorite wrap .. I don't know why she loved it so but she did. It was some kind of animal and when my sister grabbed it she at first didn't know what it was and it scared the daylights out of her. No one wanted to keep it .. I said you can't throw mama's wrap out, she loved it .. so they gave it to me to keep *L*

Mike says it looks like a weasel or something .. all I know is these things were big in her day

Here is a picture were she is wearing it .. My grandmother is the 3rd one from the left

OMG, the same thing happened to me. I reached up in my Mother's closet and felt a furry thing on the top shelf. I screamed. Upon further investigation, I found it was her fox stole instead of a wandering varmint.

My Mother's fox stole was most fashionable during WWII. It was a fox pelt that had the head and tail....and they went around the shoulders and actually looked liked the fox was biting his tail. LOL

No one else wanted this nice fur....so I kept it. LOL

No that thing was not a weasle..it was a mink...I remember getting the creeps at chruch when these fancy ladies would wear that thing to church and it would look back at me with those beady little eyes.... poor things.

then my husband's mother came into some fur things from a lady whose father at one time hired my father in law as his gardner. This lady was now an old lady and moving into a retirement home. So she gave my husband's family a Stienway grand piano, hummels and furs among other things. Well my sisters in law had no use for the furs. So I got them. Most of them are really quite nice, one was a silver fox wrap, one a blue emba mink stole, two were collars for suits, one had a little pillbox style hat and one had the beady little eyes!!!!!!
