Germany, France, Britain, Ireland(at least one, but we cannot verify clan) Scotland (at least one, clan said to be MacDonald of Sleat.) a Norsk or two, a Dane, and the odd Swede or two.
The majority is German and French/British.
The German section of the family comes from the Hessen Darmstadt area around the time of Napoleon, another group earlier than that.
There's the Soles, the Bowers, Blessings (They came across on the Speedwell.) Blackwells, Kellers, Hutchinsons, Diehns(pronounced Deans), Bolton, Rhamey/Remey/Ramey/Rhemy(depends on who wrote it out), and the Cottermans(Catherman/Katherman).
The Cottermans came across from Germany and spoke Hoche Deutch.
They left it all behind, the language and everything.
Needless to say, my skin coloration is odd and my hair reacts weird.
I spend the summer as a redhead if I'm in the sun often, and the winter as a deep chestnut brown/black.
Not all the families have been plotted out, and verifying some things is difficult and tentative at best.
The best info had was collected by my Grandmother.
And that FILLS five filing cabinets and has yet to be sorted and collated.

Well, my maternal side of my family came from Cork County, Ireland. My paternal family were English...and we don't care where they came from. LOL
