FINALLY!! I have my computer back up and running, and my DSL connection back. I was dead in the water computer-wise for a looooong time. Anytime I posted I was using someone else's computer when visiting. First, my hard drive started having problems, then it went dead. I replaced it, loaded up all my programs and files, and tried to get back online. No go. I called tech support for my computer, and after about an hour and a half on the phone, they decided my modem was bad. They sent me a new one. We installed then, then while we had it open, decided to install a new memory card (upgrade). Computer wouldn't boot up. I let it go for a bit because I simply have the time to deal with. Opened it back up today, installed the old memory card in the original slot, now it works. Turns out the new memory card isn't compatible with this machine. This machine is about 2 1/2 yrs old now - old technology. Sheesh.

I had to download and install the files for my modem, because I couldn't find the original CD for it, but everything is running great now. Whew.
