Well, give this recipe to your friend who will get the venison, if your hubby is really hunting instead of drinking whiskey and playing cards. LOL Hopefully, your hubby will have field dressed and bled his deer properly.

Soak the venison roast in buttermilk overnight. Wash under running water. Cut shallow slits in the meat and put in minced onion, garlic and bell pepper. Cook in covered roasting pan in the oven as you would a beef roast.
