LOL!!
I do know that my previous car was possessed.
The throttle would stick, and you couldn't shift into neutral for some reason during this phenomena.
Oh, and the seatbelt wouldn't unlatch either.
So I'd end up a passenger as the evil Flying Dutchman(what I called that car) would rocket down the road.
At least until I got the throttle unstuck..

Maybe I should've had it exorcised instead?

ROFL I had an '87 Camaro for 8 years. After I'd had it 2 or 3 years, I received a Recall notice from GM. Seems the seatbelt buckles had a problem where they might either refuse to latch, or refuse to unlatch. I had not had a problem either way, until I received the notice. After that both things happened to me.

Said seatbelt did save my life once. I was out on a vaguely familiar road near Lubbock, driving about 60mph. It was a looong straight road. I had remembered it making a sweeping left turn before intersecting another road. In Texas many cautionary speed signs are woefully inaccurate. Coming up in the corner, I saw a 20MPH sign, maybe 4ft tall, in the grass beside the road. No biggie, I thought. I topped a very slight rise, still doing 60, and saw 75~100 in front a 90 degree left turn. Straigh ahead, a cotton field. Between the road and the field, a bar ditch. The ditch was 3ft width, and 3ft deep. I was still doing nearly 60mph when I hit it.

I soloed my car that day. It sailed beautifully, I think. The landing cost $4,308.54. I later calculated a 3G impact. I bent the steering wheel with my hands, but was totally uninjured.
