Ask me if I am mad...no, I will tell you how mad I am.

I got a call from the school nurse requesting that I pick up my 5 year old granddaughter. The nurse said that she had been to her 'twice' complaining of headache and stomach ache. This nurse said to just give her Advil for her headache.

Well, the child stumbled out to my van and into the house and immediately collapsed on the couch. She was shivering from head to toe. Her temp was 103.5 degrees and she is extremely lethargic. A little headache and stomach ache...I think not. The stupid school nurse did not even take her temperature. Where do they get these incompetent pencil pusher nurses? They have the clinical skills of a gnat. And why did my granddaughter have to go to her twice, before she makes a call?

I have her under an electric blanket and have dosed her with Advil...and am waiting for the fever to go down. Her mother and daddy are going to have a talk with the principal and this stupid nurse...or I will go there myself.
