Not the most lucrative thing to smuggle.

Now if only we can stop the other smuggled stuff.

He said the agency plans to pursue civil penalties against the Juarez, Mexico, man driving the truck.

That's the coldest cut of all.

Authorities on Friday seized 756 pounds of bologna arranged into the shape of a car seat and covered with blankets in a man's pickup.

The cops must've relied on a tip from a schnitzel.

Well, that is discouraging. I had planned to smuggle popcorn cakes in the shape of my dashboard from Oklahoma to Tennessee. Looks like it's just not going to pay.

I'd guess those bolognas go for more than $10 in the US.

Yasmin A. Aboytes / El Paso Times
Federal agricultural quarantine inspector Charles Payne on Friday sliced bologna that was seized at the Paso del Norte Bridge. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers found 81 rolls of it under blankets in a pickup, with children sitting on top of the contraband.

The rear seat had been removed from the extended-cab pickup and the bologna was put in its place.

It was the bed cover made of provolone cheese that first drew the attention of police as the pickup drove by.

They stole it from Cheech and Chong in "Up In Smoke" when they made a panel truck out of grass and brought it in from Tijuana.

This may be the funniest article I've seen on FR, and we've had some doozies. There should be a special archive for these exceptional ones.

That guy had a lot of guts.

Rolls of balogna stacked in the shape of a car seat. Gives new meaning to "tuck and roll".
