Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban [the trailer is up, and it looks great]

Opting for a producer-only role this time, director Chris Columbus passes the Harry Potter baton off to Alfonso Cuarón (Y Tu Mamá También) for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the third film in the series. Daniel Radcliffe returns as the bespectacled young wizard who is now in his third year at Hogwarts. After and incident that sees his anger get the best of him, Harry runs away from the school. Unfortunately, the magical wunderkind soon learns that Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) has escaped from Azkaban prison and is after him. Along with Oldman, the additions to the cast the third time around include David Thewlis and Michael Gambon, who assumes the role of Professor Albus Dumbledore, previously played by the late Richard Harris. ~ Matthew Tobey, All Movie Guide

In that case, Tom Daschle as Gollum!

Might work. Not quite behind the scenes enough, but a good choice

She has an unpleasant habit of killing off characters I like. She also said in an interview that she isn't writing this stuff to make people's children feel safe.
It's quite clear that she has had the whole story outlined from before the first book was published, and will not alter anything to make it more pleasing.

Speaking of Voldamort's wand. How in the heck did he keep it through being vaporized or whatever happened when he zapped Harry, through being a parasite on another body (who by the way Harry saw die and then did on see the thestrals) and three more years and he has it back. Did it go to limbo and come back when he got a body back or just reappear as he did?

Haha! I was sort of picturing something like her when I was reading. . .well, if not exactly Helen Thomas (one tries to keep the image at pay during pleasurable pursuits like reading) definitely a mega-Rat.

Hmm, am I making this up or was this explained away by Peter Pettigrew holding on to it for him . . .?

Perhaps ppppoor ppprofessor Quirell was long dead in a very real sense by the time Harry saw him at the Leaky Cauldron?

No way. Luna is one of the good guys. Shame.Yeah, I know. But I couldn't think of anyone else quite as lost in space. You would cast who as Luna?

I would. Jim Dale reads them and he does quite a good job of it.
