Renga or "linked verse" is Japanese poetry
whereby people take turns adding lines or verses.
One types 7 syllables -- not words -- in a line,
which is in turn completed by another person.
Poems can branch off in multiple lines to
form a "kika" or "branched verse".

Tao of the Renga

crystals form like fallen ferns
fond memories flirting in time

gone the green essence of life
fine fronds weaving with the wind

feathery wisps of lace blend
with blue skies and autumn hues

light peers through, distant, haunting
an eery pause to reflect

our spirit seeks elusive truths
silence merely mocks with smiles

we yearn to hear the message
only sorrows pierce the calm

mendacious tendrils fracture

Been fighting off the 'after painting' pains and aches.
Finished my Mother-in-law's luggage on Sunday.
Painted a sailboat on it.
She took pics of both pieces, we forgot the camera like dunces, and I'll be getting copies (hopefully good ones) to scan.
*sigh*
I didn't realise how badly I had beaten my knees up while in uniform until Sunaday.
Since I don't have a good workbench to paint on, I had to do the project while sitting on the floor.
Just four years ago I could sit like that for hours without incident.
Now I walk like a robot afterwards, all stiff legged and herky-jerky in the motion.
I look like I'm about to topple over.*snort*

I'm STILL feeling it, and it's Tuesday.
Shouldn't be like this, I'm only 28.

But the good note is that the paint project is completed.
