Another by my great-aunt.

SILENCE IN THE DESERT

There's the majesty of the mountain
And the wonder of the sea,
But the silence in the desert
Is more meaningful to me.

There is sunlight on the mountain,
And the moonlight on the sea
But the starlight in the desert
Is more beautiful to me.

O God thunders on the mountain,
His storm breaks upon the sea,
But His silence in the desert
Is more powerful to me.
