How easily compromised in a big blast? I don't think it would take too much to make DC a bay of the Atlantic, would it?
I wonder, how far along is the project to put the Library of Congress into digital form? What a massive project that is!

That entire project got a big boost from Laura Bush. I've heard, through a friend of mine, it's about 1/3 there. Not sure AT ALL how accurate that is. You can hear anything. Still, this person works there is not given to dramatization, about anything. :)
Those vaults under the Smith are SUPPOSED to be blast proof. I dunno, for sure, of course. I guess divers could go retrieve them, one day. good grief.
I really don't think DC is in the nuke camp. For some reason, I see that city attacked via germs, chemicals and firebombs. I'm thinking if we went over all those postings and threats from AQ and associates for the past 2 years, we'd pretty much be able to tell, in general, what the plan is. From what I've read, so far, the imagery and threats are clearer for nukes in NYC.
