To recite my theory about DEBKA once again,I think it was started by two college roommates, Deb(by) and Ka (thy) who were failing Political Science and looking for a way to create a little excitement.

Debka began on a wee little server which carried one other 'web site,' a site offering a toy clock made to look like TNT bound up in bundle with a timer on it, just like in the old cartoons and westerns.

The links most easily associated with it led to a teenage kid in Atlanta, a couple in Colorado who were seriously into environmental things and geodysic dome construction, and some dude in Canada.

It was really, really lame stuff as I recall. (And still is for the most part.)

IMHO, "Deb" and "kathy" are Palestinians or at least are enamored by them.
