According to this source, the information about this type of event was "very specific" and appeared to be timed for "optimum damage." This source stated that such an attack or series of attacks have the potential not only to kill and injure many people, but to cause economic damage at the height of the shopping season. "Think about what would happen if a person loaded with explosives detonated themselves in the middle of Macy's, for example. The death toll, psychological and economic impact would be enormous.
