Blasting cords (that isn't the right name I think) and blasting caps are not all for terrorists, most ranchers and miners have a few.
Mary and Jay started their farm in 1926 and used it all the years they were alive, to remove trees or things that needed blasting.
In early 1970's, we took all of her primer cord and blasting caps to use on our mining claims. We kept them in the Chicken House, nice and dry and safe.
I still own a patented mine at the Cerbat Townsite, does that mean that I would be evil, if I wanted to mine them?
No, I won't be mining them and with these legs won't ever sit foot on them again, but 30 years ago, I would have wanted to blast away rocks, so as to open up the seams and see if there was salable ore.
