I think EOM is following this thread. Severnaya wasn't mentioned for quite some time. I think someone brought it up again yesterday, or the day before. Sometime recently anyway. Now he talks about it again, right after it shows up here again. Also, he's always saying that he'll be out of touch for a certain amount of time. Maybe he is some guy in prison who has to sign up for computer time.

There is regular earthquakes in the area north of Severnaya, Russia. Is there a volcano in that immediate vicinity?

No recent volcanism in that area. Those are persistent tectonic earthquakes . . . not volcanic.
